Chemainus is a picturesque village located on magnificent Vancouver Island, one of the largest islands off the coast of North America. Set in a backdrop of snow-capped mountains, the region is one of pasture lands, rolling hills, ocean inlets yet with nearby urban excitement; Chemainus is conveniently located just minutes east of the Island Highway/Trans Canada Highway.
We are situated about 1.5 hours’ drive north of Victoria and 35 minutes south of Nanaimo, both of which are served by frequent ferry service from the mainland by BC Ferries; Washington State Ferries also provide service between Victoria and Anacortes in Washington State. These ferry trips cruise some of the most spectacular scenery to be found anywhere in the World, and there is always the chance of seeing whales and eagles during the trip.
